I recently discovered your website. Thanks for remembering the great voice talent in the brilliant Jay Ward cartoon shows. I have one addendum: Walter Tetley indeed worked for Walter Lantz … in fact, he voiced one of Lantz’s key characters: Andy Panda.

Thanks for your email, Karl. I did know about Andy Panda. I decided to highlight Walter’s most famous characterizations in the tribute, however. You may have also heard of some other voice work, that he did (which I may have mentioned on Peabody’s Pony Express). In 1941 or 1942 he did some juvenile voices in one Warner Bros. cartoon called The Haunted Mouse. As far as I know, that is the only time that he worked for Warner Bros.
